Your work will apply your choice of a cultural assessment model (Purnell’s Cultural Assessment Model, attached find the powerpoint) to an assigned ethnic group.
Your work will identify factors that affect communication of assigned ethnic group (African American).
You will identify factors that affect communication of assigned ethnic group and barriers to provision of culturally competent healthcare. You will use selected cultural assessment model to address needs of assigned ethnic group and include your role as a cultural broker to meet the multicultural needs of assigned ethnic group.
Your work requires a review of the literature of at least 5 peer reviewed articles to support and inform your body of work. Your work should demonstrate cultural competence, cultural sensitivity, and humility in providing culturally appropriate care. See below rubric for your work.
You will also attach a powerpoint summarizing the written work, following APA guidelines.
